Born and raised in Oldham, Nicola originally qualified as a chef working for several high-end hotels in Manchester. After several years raising a young family and not wanting to return to the unsocialable hours of the cheffing industry, Nicola enrolled in a hat making course at The Parkin Academy.
Starting her Nicola Jane Millinery label in 2010 she has sold headpieces internationally, with her work gracing catworks and viewed at Royal Ascot.
Realising she had natural talent and flare for millinery she entered into a 2 year HNC course at Leeds College of Art, graduating in 2013.
Nicola eventually returned to Parkin, the UK's leading millinery fabric and accessory supplier, becoming their in house milliner and head tutor.
Now continuing to develop her brand and becoming a freelance tutor, she is still based in her home town of Oldham creating execptional headwear... Handmade for you...
